Pupils prefer Google to Teachers

The BBC think it's news that kids would rather use Google than ask a parent or teacher (link to story here)
I don't know why this is such a 'shock'. Kids are comfortable with technology and it's a simple click to get a world of information.
I think it would be fantastic if kids used google to get careers advice. The standard given in schools is appalling and will only get worse as schools save money by nominating some poor teacher as a Careers Advisor.
